| Abstract: | Tripura, one of the eight sisters located in Northeast India, is a habitat of the indigenous communities whose diverse languages, folklore, storytelling practices, and oral traditions form the backbone of the cultural heritage of this lovely hilly state, Tripura. Each indigenous community differs from another in terms of language, food, dress, music, dance style, and taste for livelihood. Languages such as Tripura/Tipra language, Bengali, and other indigenous languages, along with dances like Hozagiri, Lebang Boomani, Bizu, and Garia, and musical instruments like Sarinda, Chongpreng, Madol and Sumui have significantly contributed to the protection of the cultural heritage of this beautiful state, accompanied by hundreds of folktales from the Tipra soil. But the approach of modern science and technology, along with the influences of Western languages, dances, food habits, and culture, has impaired the cultural divergences of the state. Now, these thousand-year-old traditions and cultures are under threat. This study offers an overview of how oral traditions contribute to the preservation and expansion of its heritage, emphasising the urgent need for collective efforts to protect these indefinable cultural assets. | |

| Title: | Bifurcation of Assam in the Post-colonial Era: Border Conflicts in North-East India | |
| Author(s) | Hamtha Mukholee | |
| Pages | 10-17 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17465906 |
| Abstract: | The arrival of Britishers in Asia is associated with an important shift in the region from frontier to border demarcation. Before the ascendancy of Britain, the whole region of South Asia was very much a fluid cultural organism. Colonial cartography became important as it drew boundaries in the region to bring in a western legal notion of political units. At the time of independence, the North East’s regions were made up of the princely states of Manipur and Tripura, the hill districts, the North Eastern Tracts (NEFT) of the North Eastern borderland, and the Assam lowlands of the former Assam Province. Following independence, the Indian government was unable to appropriately address the complex circumstances of the North East and follow the colonial policy of isolation and alienation. In the post- colonial period, Northeast India especially Assam has been plagued by inter-state border conflicts and immigration since the early 1960s, when the process of separating states from the undivided Assam began. It is in this context the paper aims to analyse the colonial origins and present a genealogical study of the border conflicts in Assam. The paper also aims to suggest policy recommendation to the present-day immigration and border issues. | |

| Title: | Economic Nationalism and Developmental Priorities: Rethinking the Role of the State in Globalized Economies | |
| Author(s) | Dr. Honnamma Kembhavi | |
| Pages | 18-33 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17465943 |
| Abstract: | The resurgence of economic nationalism in the 21st century reflects a global re-evaluation of the state’s role in shaping development within increasingly interconnected economies. This study examines how economic nationalism influences developmental priorities by redefining state intervention, trade policies, and industrial strategies in response to globalization. It explores the tension between global market integration and national economic sovereignty, highlighting how nations balance protectionism with competitiveness to achieve inclusive growth. Drawing from contemporary examples, the paper argues that the state remains a pivotal actor in steering economic transformation through strategic policy frameworks, investment in innovation, and social welfare measures. The analysis underscores that rethinking the role of the state is essential not as a retreat from globalization but as an adaptive approach to ensure equitable development, economic resilience, and sustainable national progress amid evolving global dynamics. | |

| Title: | Intra-Party Democracy and Democratic Governance: Examining the Nexus of Political Culture, Participation, and Accountability | |
| Author(s) | Mr. Mantu Mali | |
| Pages | 19-25 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17465996 |
| Abstract: | This paper investigates the relationship between intra-party democracy (IPD) and democratic governance, focusing on how internal party structures shape participation, accountability, and political culture. The study pursues three key objectives: to examine the role of IPD in shaping democratic political culture; to analyse how party organisation and leadership selection influence participation and accountability; and to assess the impact of weak IPD on governance. Drawing from theoretical insights and comparative political analysis, the findings reveal that strong intra-party democracy promotes inclusiveness, transparency, and ethical leadership, thereby strengthening public trust and democratic legitimacy. Conversely, the absence of internal democracy fosters elitism, centralisation, and weak accountability, undermining both representation and governance quality. The study concludes that institutionalising intra-party democracy is crucial for participatory governance, effective policy-making, and the long-term consolidation of democratic systems. | |

| Title: | Leadership and Strategy in Indian Foreign Policy: The Diplomatic Innovations of Modi, S. Jaishankar, and Ajit Doval | |
| Author(s) | Mr. Manjunath Pujar | |
| Pages | 32-44 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17466056 |
| Abstract: | This article explores the transformative leadership and strategic innovations shaping India’s foreign policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Together, this leadership triad has redefined India’s global engagement by blending political will, diplomatic agility, and security foresight. Modi’s proactive outreach and vision of India as a leading power, Jaishankar’s emphasis on strategic autonomy and multipolar engagement, and Doval’s security-driven diplomacy have collectively expanded India’s geopolitical influence. Key initiatives such as strengthening Indo-Pacific alliances, recalibrating ties with major powers, and employing bold responses to regional challenges highlight a decisive break from traditional non-alignment toward pragmatic assertiveness. The article argues that this convergence of political leadership, diplomatic expertise, and security strategy represents a new model of Indian statecraft, positioning India as a pivotal actor in global governance. These innovations underscore the role of leadership in crafting resilient and adaptive foreign policy. | |

| Title: | Reaction Ability and Response Variability Among Foil, Epee and Sabre Players | |
| Author(s) | Chingkheihunba Haobam & Prof. Takhellambam Inaobi Singh | |
| Pages | 45-53 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17466179 |
| Abstract: | Objective: This study aimed to compare the hand and foot reaction abilities among foil, epee, and sabre fencers at the national level in Manipur.
Method: Thirty male fencers (10 from each weapon category) aged 18–24 years were selected from the Khongman Fencing Academy, Imphal East District. The Nelson Hand and Foot Reaction Test was used to assess reaction ability. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA with a significance level set at 0.05. Results: The mean ± SD of hand reaction times for foil, epee, and sabre were 8.65 ± 3.13, 7.90 ± 3.93, and 7.75 ± 2.65, respectively. The F-value (2, 27) = 0.216, p = 0.807, indicated no significant difference. For foot reaction, the means ± SD were 14.90 ± 4.12, 15.30 ± 2.95, and 15.45 ± 3.62, respectively, with F(2, 27) = 0.063, p = 0.939, also showing no significant difference. Conclusion: The study concluded that there were no significant differences in hand or foot reaction abilities among foil, epee, and sabre fencers. These findings suggest that reaction ability may be influenced more by individual training factors than by weapon specialization. |

| Pages | 78-88 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17466271 |

| Title: | Hashtag Diplomacy: The Influence of Social Media Movements on International Relations | |
| Author(s) | Ms. Smriti, Dr. Nandini Sahay & Dr. Reena Marwah | |
| Pages | 89-101 | DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17559326 |
| Abstract: | Social media has revolutionized international relations by facilitating grassroots activism, shaping diplomatic discourse, and influencing foreign policies through digital movements. In the digital age, social media has emerged as a pivotal force in shaping international relations through what is now termed hashtag diplomacy. Hashtags such as #BlackLivesMatter, #MeToo, and #SaveSheikhJarrah have mobilized global audiences, swayed governmental responses, and pressured international organizations to act. This paper examines the impact of hashtag diplomacy on state and non-state actors, the evolution of digital advocacy, and the geopolitical consequences of social media campaigns.
This study explores how online movements influence diplomatic policies, international negotiations, and public diplomacy. The research examines how social media movements like #BlackLivesMatter, #MeToo, #ArabSpring, and #StopAsianHate, drive governmental responses, shift diplomatic narratives, and impact global governance. Findings suggest that social media activism serves as a powerful diplomatic tool, mobilizing global opinion and holding states accountable. However, the rapid dissemination of misinformation and state-sponsored digital campaigns pose challenges to its effectiveness. The study concludes that while social media movements enhance diplomatic engagement, they also necessitate mechanisms for credibility verification and policy integration. |
